If your spectres have energy shield (from Discipline or Grave Intentions), 10% shared damage will still be directly subtracted from their life, regardless of Damage Types.[1] It functions differently than Mind Over Matter and similar effects, thus is a reliable damage mitigation for energy shield characters.
