Upon killing a (span class="tc -rare")rare(/span) monster, the player gains all of its explicit monster modifiers for 60 seconds. This on-kill effect applies even if a minion or proxy kills a rare monster; this exception is likely made due to the status of this unique item. Because stolen modifiers cannot stack,[3] there is no benefit to combining Headhunter with similar effects, like Inspired Learning or Behead Support. Stolen monster modifiers are not inherently buffs, as indicated by their lack of green-bordered status icon. Some can however grant buff auras (e.g. Precision Aura), which do count as buffs, and interact with buff-specific stats like Mantra of Flames accordingly.[4] Other stolen modifiers (e.g. of the Marksman) do not. | ||||
